This is a simple solution to help visitors around the museum.

This is the cover for the box of a wide angle lens that can be attached to a smartphone. It is placed on the top of the box so that the customer who buys this could know whats inside the box. Small but clear font is used around the picture of the lens so that we can get a clear idea of how the lens looks. The font for the branding is also very small. Overall there is a very minimalistic design that is great for this lens.

The cover for this paper game board is intended for Albertsons' customers and for those who would enjoy playing this game. The original colors and fonts from the game are used in this cover and also the monopoly guy. The amount of money that is displayed in large black and bold letters for customers to see. This paper board game changed from last year, since last year this was in the form of a three sided brochure. Now it is larger and more visible on display.

This is a screenshot of the Yogurt-land app for the iPhone. This application is intended for the customers of this frozen yogurt chain. The images and descriptions were created for customers to see the variety of flavors for the frozen yogurt. It is intended to be used in cellphones and this app is particularly for the iPhone. The names for the flavors were chosen to represent the characters of the movie Kung Fu Panda. I think the design is simple and pretty easy to use.

This is a sign posted inside of the Service Center waiting room of the Longo Toyota. It is placed on top of an electrical outlet on the wall next to a chair where customers wait for their cars to be serviced. The sign indicates that there is an electrical outlet available to plug in any electric device one might use during their wait in the center. The design is fairly simple and easy to understand with the picture of an outlet and a plug in being inserted in to it. Then there is a large red arrow pointing down letting us know about the location of the accessible outlet. The simple design language makes this a good way to let customers know that their is an outlet available for use.
This is a flag located at the top a light post inside of the Longo Toyota parking lot in the city of El Monte. It waves on and about when the wind is hitting it displaying the name of the dealership. The flag is clearly visible for those who exit the 10 west of ramp on Peck Road. The white color of the background is easy to spot and the red font is easy to read. The black and white checkered layer adds and interesting design that will help you associate the name Longo with cars. I think this is a simple and great design.

This is a temporary sign projected on a screen in the AT&T theater in downtown Los Angeles. It is displaying the title for the Team Crispy Live! event. The sign is for those who attended the event last Saturday and sat inside the auditorium waiting for the show to begin. The sign is immediately recognizable for those who know who team crispy is and what it stands for. The light blue color is nice and bright easy to be seen as well as the red. The font for Live!, seems to look like from a sign that can be found outside of a theater. Overall the sign seems to be pretty effective.
This is a sign posted inside of the Disney's California Adventure Park. It is placed right outside of the Lunar Year Celebration attraction. The sign's intended audience is mainly for the park-goers, so they can see what this section of the park holds. The red lanterns were used because it is traditional in China for the New Year. The gold color accents the red color of the lanterns and the Mickey Mouse head shape is telling us that this is how Disney celebrates the New Year. I think the sign is really effective. It works and lets everyone know that 2016 is the year of the monkey.

This advertising is painted on the outside of a beauty shop window. It clearly states that there is 10% OFF discount on Tuesday's. This would attract those who drive or walk by the store on Main Street. The reason why paint was used is because it is only temporarily on display and is easy to remove. Having Betty Boop on the ad will catch the customer's attention. I feel that overall it is a good design for the ad.
This here is a label that asks faculty and staff to keep the area around the lunch tables clean. this lets students know that it is reserved only for school employees. The material used for the label is made from paper. It appears to not function as intended since the table is dirty. I think that the sentence that mentions for who the table is reserved for should have a larger font so it would be more visible. Perhaps they should have used another material for this label.

This is promotional advertisement letter from the West Covina Nissan dealership. It is intended for car owners that live near this dealership. It is supposed to attract new customers by letting know that they won a gift card and that they can pick it up. The design shows the words, $100 gift card, in larger font to catch the eyes of customers. There is a bow on the top right corner that signifies a gift. It seems to be a good idea because consumers are attracted by freebies. Although a consumer might go to the dealership and not buy a car.
This a restaurant sign located on Atlantic Blvd and Huntington Drive. It lights up, tells time with a clock, and displays the restaurants name and Logo. This sign is three sided and can be seen by the public from all corners and from a distance. They chose red, blue, and green colors for the neon lights . The sign is used as a marker to let the public know they sell breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a brilliant idea and it is very effective. It is hard to miss. Perhaps the name Twohey's could be displayed in an orange color so that it can stand out.

This is an ad for the new Apple TV that has recently launched. This ad was created for those who intend to watch TV over the internet and use streaming services such as Netflix. It was intended to be used anywhere there is an ad space like billboards, tv, and magazines. The reason Apple used colorful stripes, was to catch peoples attention. These lines represent the SMPTE color bars that are used when a channel goes off air. They use only two letters "tv" and a singular Apple logo in the center of the Ad. Perhaps they trying to attract the older generation to consider buying into the latest way of TV. It seems like an intelligent idea for those who recognize the bars and even for those who don't. These bars will call to your attention.
This a Lyft/Uber business card taped around a traffic light post on the north east corner of Main St and Garfield Ave. It seems to perform as intended since there are cards missing and only a strip of clear tape left. This card was intended pedestrians walking by the Main St Plaza. This particular Lyft and Uber driver chose this post since it is a heavily traffic area. The driver chose to use the logos of both Uber and Lyft since they are both recognizable by most people. We can say this driver has succeeded in his objective of getting people's attention. The minimalistic design of the business card is a good idea that has been nicely implemented.

Post Week 1-2
This is a staircase located on Fremont and Orange Street in Alhambra. It is a spiral staircase. It is a static form of accessibility. Usually it helps people access higher grounds. It is generally used by groundskeepers or maintenance crews. It was created to help access the roof of this building. It is located on one side of the outside of the structure. They choose metal since the staircase is outside and exposed to the elements, it is also lighter. The steel is flexible and allows for the spiral construction. It still stands well but might contain rust. The purpose for this staircase remains unchanged. It is a great idea to access the roof instantly and does not take up to much real estate. It is an effective and useful design.
Post Week 1-1
There is a sign hanging on the side of Abraham Friedman Occupational Center in downtown Los Angeles on Grand and 17th Streets. This is a sign that explains the programs offered by this institution, such as: GED, ESL, High School Diploma and Job Training. The functionality of the sign seems to be effective because students can been entering and leaving the structure. This advertising is aimed at people who seek a second chance at education, and for those who want to learn new skills. It was created to display course offerings to pedestrians and drivers. It is intended to be used on the side of the building. The material was chosen to be able to support the impact of the elements like wind, rain, and the sun. The complimentary colors blue-violet and yellow-orange were chosen so that the words can be distinguished clearly. Even after impact of the weather and the change in seasons the banner remains in great conditions.
The design for this advertisement proves to be a success because the material is resistant, the colors are clearly distinguishable, and it is hard to miss when passing by. The location of the banner is important since this corner is a busy one and it's right outside the school.
